Reliquary Afatasi

Remnants of Entwined is a body of welded steel sculptures created from discarded remnants of Charles Gadeken’s ENTWINED, fabricated at The Box Shop in San Francisco. Afatasi salvaged the cut sheets and fragments from the waste stream, transforming their existing voids, oxidation, and irregularities into new works. What remained after one artwork’s making becomes the material beginning of another.
