The Through-Line
Nothing I have done with AR is random, and I want to be direct about the progression:
In 2023, I embedded reparations education into a cultural object people would hold in their hands and take home. In 2025, I embedded narrative and voice into sculptural form. In 2026, I embedded truth into public space itself — into a monument built by hand, from scrap steel, in the neighborhood it honors.
That is a progression. That is discipline. That is a body of work with a through-line that runs from a church fan to a monument.
I am not experimenting with augmented reality. I am defining its role in monument-making. I am welding the structure, researching the lineage, designing the experience, and embedding the truth. All of it, myself. Because the story requires all of it, and because accuracy is something I care about deeply — the kind of accuracy that means when someone stands in front of my work today or fifty years from now, they are not guessing. They are learning. They are witnessing. They are connected to something real.
