Weave Study I explores weaving through salvaged steel, transforming narrow remnants into an interlaced field of vertical and curving forms. Strips of metal move across, behind, and through one another, creating a loose structural rhythm while preserving the cuts, oxidation, and heat markings of their previous life. The work marks an early investigation into translating the gestures of textile construction into welded steel.
